Changes to KEGG pathway group processing

With the new update of the Web Start version and also of the Windows setup and Mac OS X installer disk, the code for grouping the KEGG pathways in the “Load” tab has been changed. Before, a manually created pathway list was stored and used. Now the KEGG KO database (file), which needs to be locally available to the system, is used for grouping the pathway tree. A advantage is, that the user may perform a update the grouping information by updating the database file independently on a update of this application. A small disadvantage is, that the groups are not sorted by their number, as it is done on the KEGG Pathway website.
Use the command “Help/Database Status” for instructions on download and installation of the KO database file.
