Unfold/Extend Pathway References
With a double click onto a pathway-reference node, a dialog is shown, which allows the direct integration of another pathway graph into the current view. The new pathway-subgraph will be placed at the position of the former reference node. In order to place the new pathway at a different position, move the pathway-reference node to an empty area, before loading the desired pathway.

                Fold/Collapse Pathways
By double-clicking a pathway title node (recognized by the start of map label “TITLE:”), a dialog will be shown which includes a command button to “collapse” or “fold” the particular pathway into a single map reference node.

                Separate Pathway-Subgraphs
While working with multiple pathways, pathways might partially overlap and might thus be difficult to recognize. This problem is easily resolved by issuing the menu command “Layout/Separate Pathways”.

Layout Pathways based on Overview-Graph Layout
When multiple pathways are loaded, it gets more difficult to re-layout the whole network easily. In order to place a number of pathways easily at different positions, use the menu command “Layout/Apply Pathway-Overview Layout”.
With the selection of the menu command, a overview-graph is created. Each node in the overview-graph corresponds to a pathway in the source pathway. The size of each node reflects the dimension of the corresponding pathway-subgraph. You may use the Zoom-Toolbar to make the whole overview graph visible.
The overview graph layout may be defined with a selected automatic layout, or manually by selecting the “Null-Layout”.
As the overview-graph layout is finished, click “OK” in the progress panel visible in the lower right - the layout of the overview-graph will be applied to the source pathway-subgraphs.

                Colorize Pathways
Use the menu command “Nodes/Pathway Subgraph-Coloring”, to apply a different color for all the different loaded pathways.
